I love, love, love when couples contact me for an anniversary session. I didn’t photograph Heather and Bryan’s wedding, but she was really excited about piecing together more of a styled anniversary session. These two are parents, but they really wanted to focus on capturing photographs of themselves. While Heather and I had discussed ideas back and forth via email, I was SO impressed when she arrived at our Berry Springs Park site.
She had buckets and buckets of details that she had singlehandedly DIY’d for their session. Bryan was such a trooper helping us lug everything to the perfect spot. I love that Heather told me she wanted to focus on the details and was okay with me framing images a little differently, too. She didn’t want every single photograph to be just of them.
I really appreciate all the time and effort Heather put into making her dream session become a reality. It was very special to see the quilt from her grandmother and their wedding day programs. I feel like I get to know my couples so intimately when they bring so many items that are so meaningful to them.
