Katie and Larry’s wedding was one that really touched me and made me so thankful I was able to deliver these photographs to them. Rewind to my early correspondence with Katie as she shared how important it was for her to have these memories because her father is currently fighting cancer. Her mother passed away from cancer and she said the photographs she saw of her were from a time of her suffering. Katie wanted to have memories of her dad looking happy and healthy and well.
The more I learned about Katie and Larry, the more my heart acknowledged that a wedding day isn’t just about the pretty details and gorgeous venue. More on this day than ever before, my job was to really capture those who were surrounding Katie and Larry as they said their I-dos. While I always try to capture the essence of a wedding day, you’ll see that this day was very focused on relationships. Julie and I were so warmly welcomed as we walked around The Houstonian Manor House and captured children playing and running, friends catching up and laughing over fond memories, and relatives reconnecting as they sat around the tables to chat.

Katie and Larry, thank you for allowing us to be by your sides as you walked down the aisle. Thank you for allowing us to capture the sweet innocence and best friendship shared between you. Your wedding day is so incredibly special to me and I’m so grateful for the way you’ve given me a new fondness and outlook on my job.
