Megan and Carson proved that a little April rain doesn’t ruin the party. The clouds gradually darkened throughout the day and settled over Vintage Villas, but the smiles never left their faces. This caused us to lose a little bit of time outside for portraits, but they rolled with the flow and were so excited to attend their reception.
Carson’s mom officiated the wedding and it was so hard for me to hold myself together as he and his mom both teared up throughout the ceremony. Carson’s expression seeing Megan walk down the aisle was so special. Their parents were so involved in every aspect of the wedding and it’s obvious that this wedding day wasn’t just a coming together of two individuals, but two families. The stories told during the toasts had everyone nearly in tears and it was such a joy to see their grandmothers on the dance floor joining in the fun, too.
It was such a pleasure to see Megan and Carson celebrating their marriage and to not let their happy spirits be dampened by a little moody weather. Many thanks to Megan and Carson for having me along for this lovely day, and to Michele of Modish Weddings for coordinating the day and keeping everything flowing.
