The day after Abby and John’s wedding at Pecan Springs Ranch, I photographed Megan and Carson’s wedding at Vintage Villas. Let me tell you…their beautiful ceremony had more than just Carson in tears. Carson’s mom married them and while we laughed at the stories that were shared, their guests (and my assistant and I) were so touched by how emotional Carson was seeing his bride. Megan is an absolutely GORGEOUS girl. She and Carson currently live in New York so when they booked me, we talked via Skype. I met Megan officially for dinner while she was here for the holidays last year; what I originally thought would be an hour or so long dinner turned into several hours as we surpassed the wedding details and talked life.
It was said, repeatedly, at Megan and Carson’s wedding that these two really get to the heart of people. They easily make friends and genuinely want to know about you. That’s how I always hope to make people feel, but it felt so wonderful having that reciprocated. Megan was interested in hearing about our journey as foster parents and asked about how my pregnancy was going. I felt like she cared just as much as I did when she told me about how close she and her brother are and how he’s playing college football.
Megan’s Brushy Creek bridal session was absolutely delightful. I love the park setting because it’s slightly more manicured than a raw, open field, but it still achieves that natural, outdoorsy feel. Take a look at Megan’s gorgeous dress:
