Christine and Michael were married at Courtyard on St. James in Houston, TX. What a beautiful, emotional day it was! I briefly recapped my friendship with the adorable Christine when I shared their engagement session with you. What a joy it was to see my stunning friend walk down the aisle to marry such a kind-hearted guy.
Christine and Michael opted to do a first look before the ceremony. This gave them time to have a private moment together without everyone watching them at the aisle. It helped them get their nerves out and they quickly relaxed once they saw each other. One thing that sometimes happens at weddings is this: the bride and groom are the very last people to be photographed because we’re waiting for the perfect light and we need to release everyone else to go party so they can be photographed without a lot of onlookers. However, if things are running behind schedule, the time is cut much shorter than planned on paper with the bride and groom. I loved having the chance to photograph this first look because we had so much time allotted for us to find a good location and take as many pictures as we wanted. While first looks aren’t for everyone, I definitely do recommend them if you’re open to the idea.
I think the amount of love these two have for each other will speak volumes through the pictures. They’re so loved by their family and friends. Listening to the speeches that night made me choke up more than once. Hearing my friend say her vows was such a beautiful, sweet moment for me.
Wish Christine and Michael congratulations below!
