Prepare yourself for the best of the best of Jessica’s bridal portrait session. I mentioned that we brought along a lot of props for this last bit of the session. I shouldn’t say ‘we’ as much as Jessica. Let me explain what they were and why they were important.
I already mentioned the luggage was her grandfather’s vintage collection. The chair was one of her great-aunt’s that will be a part of Jessica and Will’s home. The miniature vases and jars were all collected by Jessica and her Mom for their wedding centerpieces throughout their engagement. I believe they scoured antique stores and such for each and every one of them. The lanterns were part of the decorations for the wedding as well. You’ll see a few hats also; those and the boxes were her grandmother’s.
This is exactly where I wish every engagement and bridal session could be taken. To a space we’ve created, full of meaning and memories.
Very big thank yous go out to …
Katie for all her awesomeness and help making every bit of this perfect.
Sheri, Jessica’s Mom, thank you for plucking and pulling flowers to arrange in all the tiny vases. And thank you so much for your encouragement and laughter throughout the session.
Abby of Stems Floral Design for understanding our vision, for dreaming up and creating the most beautiful bouquet, and for graciously supplying us with more flowers than we could’ve imagined for all the little vases.
And lastly, the beautiful Jessica, for trusting my vision, for believing I wouldn’t destroy your dress, for dragging all these beautiful props along, and for agreeing to the bridal session after-all.
