I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s introduction to Jessica’s bridal portraits. Today, we switch up locations for a change of scenery and a big blue Texas sky.
I live in Pflugerville. Dustyn and I bought a house there and moved in January 1st of this year. I’m quite accustomed to either a) getting lost because I don’t know the area well or b) mapping everything on my semi-trusty GPS. One day I found a gorgeous maize field while I was out and about. I kept telling my husband for weeks, I really want to use that field for a photo shoot. He told me to grab a friend, and to just go do it! I threw it out there as an option for Jessica’s bridal portraits, but still wasn’t sure about trespassing onto someone’s land. As it turns out, we didn’t even have to climb through a fence and there wasn’t a sign posted warning us to stay away.
Frankly, I hoped that if the police showed up, they would see a beautiful girl in her wedding dress and just tell us to quickly wrap things up. It was a worth a shot! You’ll be happy to know that we had no run-ins with the police. Nor was the dress harmed in this part of our session. Sadly, they plowed down the maize field the very week after the session. I suppose I’ll have to wait until next year to use one again.
