Please excuse my absence from the blog lately. My husband and I just returned from a great vacation with my family to Colorado. That’s right…we escaped the dreaded 100+ degree weather for a little while and headed to one of my favorite CO cities, Telluride. I’ll be blogging some photos of the personal kind on my personal/family blog soon.
For now, I’d like to share with you Tara and Aaron’s engagement session. I hadn’t met these two lovebirds until the morning of their session. We’d talked countless times on the phone and I really enjoyed getting to know bits and pieces of their lives via email as well. It’s always a pleasure to put faces with names and voices… especially when I’m going to be their wedding photographer.
We opted to do a combination of a really relaxed, natural location combined with a fun, East Austin setting. The weather was atrocious – dry, hot, and humid – but you would never know it from the great, happy expressions they wore on their faces the entire session. Tara and I are now in the planning stages for her bridal session. I cannot wait to see her beautiful wedding dress. It always feels like I’m let in on a big secret when I get to photograph bridals since I get a peek at the dress long before any of the guests (and usually, the groom!).
