Justin and Sarah were married at Texas Old Town in Kyle, Texas. It was a pretty warm May day, but nothing could put a damper on the happiness and cheerfulness of the day. I was thrilled to have my friend James Dvorscak along for this awesome wedding. He and I split our time between the girls and guys getting ready and coordinated to make sure that Justin and Sarah wouldn’t accidentally run into one another. Jenn, Sarah’s friend and day-of coordinator, was awesome at keeping everyone on time, making sure they were in the right place, and ready to go.
We arrived to see Sarah’s hair being finished. She was so relaxed and laid back – excited to be marrying Justin. All of her girls looked beautiful in their pink tea-length bridesmaids dresses. I love that Sarah coordinated their shoes too; the girls wore awesome gold sandals (that I’d really like a pair of) that completed the summer wedding look.
After spending time with Justin and Sarah in Gruene last year for their engagements, I felt like I was part of their family. I felt as much like a guest as a photographer. Justin and his groomsmen joked with me and we kept a running tally of who got the last laugh. These are my favorite kinds of weddings.

The outdoor ceremony site at Texas Old Town (the Tejas site) was absolutely beautiful. Trees and a little pond surround the area.
Sarah was absolutely glowing while she had her make-up professionally done by make-up artist Julie Odom.
A great gust of wind caught Sarah’s veil as we were walking during formal portrait time. I love this shot so much. So impromptu and unplanned.
I wish so badly I could remember what was said to make Justin laugh so hard. I love that James caught this view of him laughing with his groomsmen.
Working with two photographers at your wedding can provide such a beautiful variety of images. James took the shot on the left, while I took the shot on the right straight down the aisle.
During the final prayer, Sarah was so excited. She couldn’t stop smiling!
Sarah built in an ample amount of time for James and I to take them away for some alone time. We had such beautiful light to work with. These are hands down some of my favorite bride and groom wedding images.
Justin and Sarah, THANK YOU for having James and I along for your wedding. It’s been such a pleasure getting to know you. To witness your marriage. To meet your families. I wish you many, many years of wedded happiness!
