This wedding at the Creekside Pavilion was such a fun one to photograph. AJ Horkavy asked me to tag along with him as his second photographer for the day, and I’m so glad I was able to. Creekside Pavilion is such a fantastic wedding venue. The tin ceilings, chandeliers, and Christmas lights create beautiful bokeh in the background of all the interior shots. The light just bounces around so beautifully inside this venue, creating some extremely well lit (YAY!) photographs. Sometimes it can be quite challenging to light dance floors well, but this is one that just makes my heart sing.
This wedding was timed perfectly. Much like the weather these days – there was a chance of rain, but no one really knew if it would pour or not. The ceremony outside went on as planned, but literally seconds after the bride and groom walked into the building after the ceremony, rain started pouring DOWN. The guests and we photographers made a mad, furious dash inside.
A huge thanks to Arol for letting me join him for this wedding!
Clearly some of my favorite moments from this particular wedding were the first dances. The bride and groom looked so phenomenal and sweet, but this groom was also very close to his mother. Some of my favorite mother/son dancing moments. EVER.
Whatever this beautiful Mama was telling her son had tears streaming down his face.
