My husband and I got married almost seven years ago. Our wedding was large and looking back, there are so many changes I wish I would have made. Over time, I think I’m going to share some of those things with you.
I’ve also kind of been contemplating the idea of doing a vow renewal with Dustyn. I don’t really know when that would be, per se, but I think it would be something really incredible to do before we start our family. It would give us the chance to make it a small and intimate affair. I’m not sure that it would even be necessary for anyone to go or for us to have a guest list. I don’t want to make it a big shin-dig, but I do want it to be special for us. I picture us hiring a photographer and having the photos taken that we currently don’t cherish from our wedding.
This is in the veeeeerrry beginning stages of dreaming. I’m not sure if it would happen, but because all of it is swirling in my head, that’s leading me to look at awesome websites. Such as Vera Wang. Oh what it would be like to wear one of her dresses. Here are my two current favorites from her Spring 2011 Collection.
The first is Farrah. I am a girl that is crazy over ruffles. But I like that these are really soft and delicate, but if you actually look at the fabric up close, it looks a bit unfinished. I also adore the color of this dress. I’m a fair-skinned kind of girl, who would get sunburned while standing next to a window indoors, according to my husband. I think this dress would compliment my skin tone as opposed to feeling washed out in a typical white dress. Another detail I love is the asymmetry created at the top – it’s not completely strapless.
The second is Erica. This is a pretty similar dress with all the ruffles, but it’s not asymmetrical, and it’s more traditional in color…albeit a bit creamier. I think this dress would be extremely flattering through the mid-section. It’s described as a mermaid dress, but I don’t think it obviously looks like one.
What do you think? Who is your favorite wedding dress designer?
