Nearly a year ago, I received an inquiry from Jennifer. She and Marcos were looking for a wedding photographer for their March wedding. I excitedly scheduled a time to meet with them to discuss all the details. In between scheduling their consultation and our actual meeting, another booked client’s wedding date changed. I was no longer available for Jennifer and Marcos. I felt defeated. Certainly there was nothing they could do as they moved forward with making wedding plans.
I called Jennifer and told her what happened. I was shaking as I spoke to her because I absolutely hate upsetting someone. She and Marcos still wanted to meet with me! They hadn’t nailed down their wedding date at a venue yet, so there was still a possibility they’d be booking a different date anyway. This feeling of euphoria swept over me. We had a great meeting in a cramped little coffee shop in downtown Austin. They bounced great questions off one another and I left feeling so excited about meeting them.
For their engagement session, we had a very relaxed, go-with-the-flow vibe. We walked the streets of Downtown Austin and stopped at places that intrigued us. We ended our session at Town Lake with a view of Downtown Austin in the background, and Jennifer and Marcos wore their favorite respective alumni t-shirts.
Let’s take a moment to ooh and ahh over Jennifer’s awesome ring.
