Elizabeth Bassett, of Lavish Events, and I have been friends for about a year. What originally began as a meeting to discuss the wedding industry evolved into a friendship that involves two hour lunches. My initial email from Maria said that she was a referral from Elizabeth. I immediately got excited because anyone that knows Elizabeth would agree that she’s super fun and loving. Surely, I thought, Maria would be the same.
After our first phone consult, I bounded up the stairs to our apartment and told Dustyn how much I hoped I’d get to work with Maria. She and I breezed through all her May 2011 wedding details, and eventually began discussing she and David’s crazy Labrador dog. We set up a time to meet face-to-face so I could show her examples of my work. Our coffee meeting was absolutely wonderful.
Initially Maria didn’t know that she and David would be interested in an engagement session. I shared stories with her about grooms becoming more comfortable in front of the camera and with me, about couples fears of kissing in front of me, and explained that the engagement session would be a great trial run for them to see if they enjoy working with me. Maria proposed all of this to David, and after seeing the engagement session with Carly and David, decided the Littlefield House was the perfect place for their session too.
Maria + David, you are a fun, beautiful, magnetic couple. I am so excited about your engagement photos, and cannot wait for your wedding! May couldn’t come fast enough…
