When I first met Rachel, I also met her Mom and future-Mother-in-Law. We had a great time chatting and discussing all the wedding plans. Rachel did an excellent job throughout the wedding planning process of making sure that she included everyone’s input so the day would be special for them as well. She was extremely organized and had everything under control. The day of the wedding she was calm and peaceful. There was no drama and I showed up to she and her bridesmaids hanging out in the bridal room at Bella Lago at Forest Creek.
Rachel and Michael had an evening wedding reception; they opted to do a first look before the ceremony (which I LOVE) because we would lose the sun almost immediately after the reception. Michael bounded down the hill to see Rachel, who was hidden by her bridesmaids. It was such a beautiful moment to see Rachel tear-up at the excitement of seeing Michael all dressed up in his awesome grey suit.
Their reception seemed like one big reunion. Everyone laughed, talked, and meshed so well. There were certainly some awesome moves out on the dance floor, but one of my favorite moments was seeing Michael and Rachel raised up on chairs by the groomsmen and walked around the dance floor. My second favorite moment was seeing Michael and Rachel grab sparklers and light them with their guests during their exit and run back through before dashing away in the car.
Rachel and Michael, you are wonderful together. You bring out all the best qualities in each other, and you make each other so incredibly happy. I wish you many years of happiness and joy together. Thank you for allowing me to photograph your wedding. It has been such a pleasure to get to know you and your families.
Another favorite moment… Rachel’s mother composing herself before entering the bridal suite. LOVE this.
Rachel’s bridesmaids hid her from Michael’s view while Michael walked down the hill to see her.
Absolutely unbelievable wedding bouquets from Bouquets of Austin
Something I highly recommend, especially if you’re in a time crunch after the wedding ceremony, is a first look with the bride and groom. I love the sweet, private moments they are able to have together before the celebration begins.
I’m not sure if you could tell (judging by the name of my photography business) but I’m a HUGE fan of everything grey… including this ah-mazing suit Michael wore. I wish I had an excuse to find one for Dustyn (my husband)!
LOVED everything about the architecture inside Bella Lago at Forest Creek. The brick created this wonderful atmosphere and some beautiful photographs…
