On 10-10-2010, Annie and Jerel said their I-Dos at Green Pastures here in Austin, Texas. They had a mid-morning ceremony, so I met up with Annie and her beautiful bridesmaids at the Keep Austin Gorgeous salon as they completed their hair and make-up appointments at 8:00AM that morning. The salon was well-lit with great morning light streaming through their windows; I loved how Annie and her girls would walk back and forth between the rooms to check on one another as they wrapped up. The stylists and make-up artists did an amazing job, as I’m sure you’ll notice below.
We headed to Green Pastures, a lovely event venue/restaurant, where peacocks roam the grounds freely (and beautifully). The bridal suite wall well equipped for all of us girls – the bridesmaids, Annie’s Mom, Aunt, and cousins – to hang out and relax before Annie and Jerel’s first look. The mood of their wedding day was so peaceful and calm. Annie wasn’t stressed out or rushed. She went with the flow of everything and simply watched all of her hard work and planning materialize. Some of my favorite moments from the day are of Annie’s Mom and Aunt helping her into her wedding dress. Everyone crowded around as she stepped into her gown and watched as the back was carefully laced up. The dress looked divine on Annie, and beautifully flowed around her. It was the perfect choice, I’d say.
I had quite a hard time narrowing down the photos for Annie and Jerel’s wedding post. I’m posting several here, but even more in the slideshow here. Please check it out and remember to sign up here if you’d like to receive the password to their private online gallery.
Annie and Jerel, thank you for inviting me to participate in your beautiful wedding! Congratulations!

Post-Wedding Q&A with Annie
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
When Jerel and I were standing in front of everyone and Judge, going thru the vows and ceremony. I was looking at Jerel and just thinking….wow…this is it! We’re really getting married!
What was your favorite detail of the day?
Hard to say…I seriously just loved everything that day…to me it was just an absolutely gorgeous day and everything was perfect. If I really have to pick something, I think it’ll have to be the flowers. Our florist did a wonderful job nailing exactly what we wanted, although we had a hard time expressing it into words. When I first laid eyes on the flower bouquets and the ceremony arrangements…I was utterly amazed and oh so happy.
Any advice to future brides and grooms?
Have fun with the wedding planning, but don’t stress out the guy. =)
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Jerel and I went to Belize for our honeymoon, and survived our first disaster together there as newlyweds (Hurricane Richard hit the second day after we arrived). The entire vacation was wonderful though, we had a great time unwinding, snorkling, and visiting Mayan ruins.
Funniest moment of your wedding day?
My matron of honor had tied Jerel’s wedding band to her wrist with a pink ribbon, and it was pretty darn cute. However, when the Judge prompted our ring exchange, I was having such a hard time untying the ring from her wrist it took awhile and I was just
struggling with it. I ALMOST thought of giving up and have Jerel untie it. Afterwards though Jerel and I both thought it was really funny. That, and the (accidental) glasses shattering sound right at the beginning of the ceremony. =) Judge assured me that was a good
