One of the hardest parts of my job is concealing the beautiful bridal portraits some of my brides opt to do before their weddings. It’s such a special moment to see them all dolled up in their dress for the first time. Every hair is perfectly in place, the shoes are comfortably broken in, the make-up looks stunning and glamorous, and the dress has made it through all the fittings. The bride’s face lights up as she slips it on for the first time since the final fitting. She glances at herself in the mirror… everything exactly as it should be. How special is it that I get to be part of this moment?
And how crazy is it that I have to keep it a secret? Of course the groom can’t see the photos and ruin the surprise before the day of the wedding!
I suppose you’ve guessed that I’ve been looking at bridal portraits this morning. I can’t share them with you yet, but I snagged the following images during the session. I find these images inspiring. So much beauty can be found in nature. How gorgeous is the peacock?
For now, the bride is my little secret…
