It arrived this morning. The UPS man actually got here so early he woke Dustyn and I. After tugging in a big box from the UPS man, it was hard not to explain to Dustyn what was inside. I was also itching to see it up close and personal. I have received several fun emails from the company, Simply Canvas, over the last few days as it was packaged and shipped to its new home. Our home!
So, I let Dustyn open it right away. There was no chance I was going to be able to withstand opening it if he didn’t. Are you tired of me referring to it as “it”? Well, to refresh your memory, this is where I first posted about it.
And this, my friends, is the final product! This favorite picture of ours from Ocean Beach has been transformed into a lovely canvas that will soon adorn the currently blank dark grey wall in our apartment.
[left} a detail of the corner, very nicely folded edge. [right] the image wrapped around the edge and the back of the canvas, already equipped with the hanger.
The side of the canvas. The teal you see in the background is from our curtains and dining room chairs.
And this, is the front. It is propped on a chair for the photo because I can’t hang it quite yet. I’ll explain why in a second.
The lovely Gallery Wrap Canvas featured above will be hanging near these bad boys. I couldn’t grab a full length shot [yet] without having to move lots of things around, but these are the two pieces to an old railroad sign. I purchased them this past fall from the Round Top Antique Show. I need to hang the signs after I find appropriate bolts for them and then I’ll hang the Gallery Wrap. Problem is, I might need another wrap in the same size to balance the wall out. I’ll post pictures when this project is done.
